We tested: 3-PW with Nippon NS Pro 1050GH steel shaft
Key Technologies: The clubhead and face are forged separately with two different soft carbon steel alloys to provide superior feel. The undercut cavity lowers the center of gravity and distributes more weight to the head's perimeter.
OUR TESTERS SAY: Among the top performers in the test. High marks for playability and looks.
PLAYABILITY: Clubhead makes it a cinch to hit draws and fades; handles shots from rough with relative ease.
ACCURACY/FORGIVENESS: Among the most accurate irons tested; very forgiving for a forged cavity back.
DISTANCE CONTROL: One-half to full club longer on center hits; heel, toe and thin shots still get plenty of distance.
FEEL: Super-soft "forged" feel gives precise information on center hits.
LOOK: Stylish blade-like design still packs plenty of muscle behind the hitting area.
Sharp leading edge is susceptible to digging; longer irons can behave more clumsily due to large cavity back.

The mid-sized, forged cavity back is aimed at low- to mid-handicappers. The face is forged from 1020 soft carbon steel to provide ultimate feel. The NS Pro 1050GH steel shaft blends the pliability of graphite with the stability of steel.
